User Manual for DEMOS-10
DEMOS-10 is a circadian rhythm measurement tool used in care and dementia care to give staff an objective view of a resident’s sleep and activity patterns.

What is DEMOS-10?#
DEMOS-10 consists of a small sensor that automatically sends data about a resident’s activity to an online portal. The sensor measures body position and movement minute by minute, around the clock. The data is stored and analysed in our online portal, where care staff can see when the resident is lying down, standing/walking, restless or relaxed.
Our circadian rhythm chart can be used as an addition to or replacement for your normal uro-charts and to evaluate the resident’s general well-being. Additionally, you can use it as a basis for new care initiatives.
Why use DEMOS-10?#
DEMOS-10 gives care staff insight into the resident’s well-being and provides a basis for changes in care. DEMOS-10 “reveals” whether the resident has sleep disturbances, night wandering, restlessness, hyperactivity or inactivity. DEMOS-10 provides an objective and complete picture of the resident’s circadian rhythm during the measurement period. DEMOS-10 measures and documents the effect of new care initiatives, and makes it easy to share the resident’s status with colleagues, doctors, psychologists or relatives.
“DEMOS-10 ensures that staff around the residents and the dementia team don’t have to invent a lot of new things based on subjective assessments. Data enables us to optimise and professionally qualify the workflows and initiatives we already work with.”
Christina Rathleff, occupational therapist and project manager in the dementia team, Billund Municipality
